A loss

I'm not sure where to start on this post...So I will just start from the beginning.
On Friday night I began having a headache.  It felt very similar to headaches I get around that special time of the month.  Usually I can take to Tylenol and sleep and I will feel better.  But, when I woke up on Saturday I was so much worse.  It was a pain that I can not explain.  I have a very high pain tolerance and this headache put me in bed.  Nothing was touching it.  Around 6 PM Saturday night I asked Michael to take me to the ER.  We went to a local urgent care/emergency place.  They were really nice.  The first round of pain meds they gave me didn't work.  They decided that I needed a CAT scan to rule out anything significant.  They came and gave me a very strong narcotic and almost instantly I was pain free for the first time in 24 hours.  Before they took me to have the CAT scan they had me take a pregnancy test.  The doctor wasn't too worried - I have an IUD, and they usually don't test women with IUD's but the scan tech really wanted one just to clear her mind.  5 minutes later all 3 nurses and the doctor were standing in our room telling us we were pregnant.  To say I was in shock is an understatement.  It took the doctor asking 3 times if I still wanted the CAT scan to realize I wasn't answering him out loud - just in my head.  We went home, and I rested all day Sunday.  I knew that becoming pregnant on an IUD is not safe for the baby or the momma and knew that I needed to be seen ASAP.  So Monday I drove to Lufkin to see my OB/GYN.  They did blood work and told me they would call me in the morning.  I was starting to have weird pains in my chest and back and my head was still hurting and so I insisted on seeing my doctor that day.  So at 4 I went back to Lufkin.  Around 5 I finally saw my doctor.  She came in and just hugged me.  She was in such shock - as was I still.  The IUD I have is 99.99% effective...so yea. She started the scan and couldn't find a baby.  I made a comment about maybe only being a few weeks pregnant but she said that the pregnancy test they ran and my blood work told a different story - I was very pregnant. After about 5 minutes she found my little jelly bean - sadly hiding in my right fallopian tube.  He measured 8 weeks - EIGHT WEEKS! I had been pregnant for 8 weeks and never knew.   She kept asking if I was in any pain.  Other than my head and the weird chest and back pain - no.  Ectopic pregnancies are very dangerous and need to be taken care of as soon as they are found.  So I headed straight from her office to the hospital.  Calling Michael and telling him to hurry.  Thankfully he made it in plenty of time.  I had surgery around 8 PM Monday night.  She had to remove part of my tube and my right ovary. We arrived home about 2AM Tuesday morning.
It has been a whirlwind of days.  I'm home from work until at least the 14th.  Recovery has been slow.  I feel like I can get up and go - then I do and I am exhausted again.  So I am taking it slow.
So many people have offered to help, and brought food, and prayed for us.  We are so thankful for everyone and all the ways they have helped.
