Halloween Dance Class

Ms. Jenny always wants her girls to have beautiful arms, beautiful legs and beautiful toes...except for Halloween week. The girls were encouraged to have scary arms, legs, and toes. Claire, who is usually quiet during dance, belly laughed the entire way through. She thought it was so funny and silly. She also loved that she got to wear her costume to class.

One of the grandmas that comes to class took some pictures and gave them to us on a CD.  The pictures below are ones she gave us.

I love the look on her face!

One of my favorite pictures of Claire and Ms. Jenny!

Halloween 2013

We had a pretty low key Halloween. We had some friends over to hand out candy. The moms took the kids across the street to a church's trunk or treat and hit up our neighbor's house. The kids had fun trick or treating and playing with their friends. My Belle and Batman were the cutest things ever. This is Cole's second year as Batman - he really does love him that much!

Heritage Fall Festival

Michael planned our church's first ever Heritage Fall Festival. We had this vintage image in our minds and wanted it to be one of those things that becomes a Fall tradition for families.
We realized on Sunday that Wednesday looked like a washout. So we made plans to move everything inside. We had to drop the hayride and the bonfire but everything else was doable inside.
We had all kinds of festival foods - hotdogs, roasted corn, caramel apples, popcorn, and s'mores. We had carnival games - milk bottle knock down, corn hole, bobbing for apples, bean bag toss, two liter ring toss, and face painting. We also had a hay maze and a baked good walk. We had a live band playing music and a fire pit to roast marshmallows. We also had a photo booth with props!
We were a little worried about the turn out - it was raining so hard. But we ended up having some where around 350+. It was a great night and I am so proud of Michael for all the work he put into it!!! We also had a TON of workers volunteer to help out. It was a blessing of a night!

50's Day

Claire and Cole's schools had 50's day on Halloween. Claire's school makes a big deal out of it. They have an hour long program where they show off a ton of dances they have been working on. It just happened to fall during my conference and so I was able to go!! It was adorable seeing all they kids dressed up! Claire was so proud of her dances and did a great job! This is Claire's teacher who she loves!! All the kids left after they dance and Claire said - all the other kids are leaving but I want to stay with Mrs. Morris!
