Christmas Day

Christmas Day was spent at our house again this year. I really like the new tradition - and it really helps with kids who need their naps! Claire was totally into opening gifts this year! I think she was more into ripping the paper off than what was in the gift! She was spoiled like crazy this year and has loved playing and using all her gifts!!

My brother brought his dog Emma again this year. She is the funniest dog. She brought us tons of sticks/limbs that were found in the yard along with random balls and various other things she found.

Playing with their light sabers. It is a little sad that my 2 year old knows who's light saber is who's...

A Sid the Science kid puzzle!

Uncle Jamie playing Disney Princess Matching game with Claire

Sweet Cole asleep in my grandma's arms

Around lunch my aunt and uncle joined us. Claire LOVES Jan and wants her attention when ever she is around!

My parents bought Claire a TV and DVD player for her room. After some rearranging we got it all set up for her! We have a limit on how much she can watch in her room, and it won't be an everyday thing. It is nice that when we do let her watch her Doodle Bop movie she can watch it in there rather than our living room where we all end up singing to it :)

Stockings and Cole's Santa gifts

Claire's stocking was stuffed!!! She enjoyed going through it and seeing all of her favorite candy!

Dumping her stocking - notice what she has on her back!

Life Savor book!

Cole slept through Claire seeing what Santa brought them. He woke up for a bottle and after that got to see what Santa brought him!!! He has not been feeling 100% so he slept through most of Christmas - darn teeth!

Santa Came!!!!

All Claire wanted for Christmas was a camera. She asked Santa for one when she saw him a week ago - and he came through!!

Claire got - backpack from Dora, Dora and Diego candy canes, Dora stickers, and a Camera!

Claire, Cole and Daddy got a group gift - Light Sabers!

Cole got some balls and rattles

Santa ate the cookies and drank the milk. He left the Santa key to our house and a note that says: Dear Claire, You have been a very good girl. I hope you enjoy your camera and backpack. Love Santa.

Claire's stocking was SUPER full. She had all her favorite candy, socks, moon sand, a flashy necklace, and a life savor book - daddy has gotten a life savor book in his stocking every year since he was little.
Cole got some puffs, and some teethers

At 5:30 AM Claire came in to our room and woke us up. She sounded VERY sad and said "Santa didn't come to my house last night. He didn't wake me up." This is when we realized that she thought Santa was actually going to physically give her her presents. At first we tried to have her snuggle in bed with us until at least 6...but the more we laid in bed the sadder she got. So we got up to come explore the house to see if Santa had come.

She spots the plate of cookies. Hey I left 3 cookies for Santa!

She finds her note

She sees the light sabers

oh!

Pure joy!!!!

taking a picture of mommy, taking a picture of Claire!

Daddy showing her how it works

Then she saw backpack!

And found the Dora stickers!

Such a happy girl!!!

So happy she wanted to go back to bed to sleep for a little bit longer....only if she could bring her camera with her!

Meet Bo the Butterfly

My cousin gave Claire a butterfly in a jar. This butterfly is electronic, but looks SO real. He flutters around and rests and beats his wings - its about the craziest thing I have ever seen!! Claire is in love with it. She named him Bo for some strange reason and carries him around with her. So may we introduce you to her new friend - Bo the butterfly!

Christmas with the Haffners

This year Michael's dad and Suzanne, Eric, Rayna, and Alice came to our house for Christmas. We ate wings and fries from Wingstop and they were AMAZING!!! We opened gifts and sat around and talked. I was again glad that it was stress free!

Claire received a percussion set and loved being a "marching band" as she called it
