I've been crafty!

I have been looking online at tons of cute outfits and bows that people sell on different sights and it occurred to me that I could very easily make the things they were making - and for 1/2 the cost! So I decided to start off simple and make some bows and a pillowcase dress. They all turned out pretty cute - I think! Sometime this week or next I am going to go to my mom's and use a pattern that she has to make Claire a dress that my cousins and I used to wear.

The first thing I made was this cupcake clippie! Claire will be wearing this for birthdays!

Claire needed a brown bow - so that was my next one to make! Ribbon is 1/2 off at Hobby Lobby this week!

And finally the pillowcase dress! It literally took me 15 minutes to make this dress! I wish it was a little skinnier - I guess I can go back in and take it in some. But all in all it turned out cute! I need to have a giant C embroidered on the front :)

Claire's swing!

After having her swing for several months we finally got around to hanging it!!! She loves to swing and I am glad that we are going to get to spend many nights swinging her on the back porch!

Eric and Rayna's Wedding

Today Michael's younger brother Eric got married. Michael preformed the ceremony and it was very beautiful. Michael and Eric's stepmom Suzanne did a FANTASTIC job on everything and you could really tell she put her heart into making this day special! The bride looked beautiful, the cakes looked and tasted amazing, and lunch was very tasty! We were a little worried about Claire going into the wedding b/c she was going to miss her morning nap and we were up really late last night - but she did wonderful! She was happy the entire time and put on a good show after the wedding! We are very excited to invite Rayna into our family! Congratulations you two!!

Benny is a local restaurant owner in Cleburne - and kids LOVE him! Claire saw him and was immediatly smitten with him. I have not heard her laugh that hard, loud, or long as she did today while playing with Benny!

Haircut

I took the plunge today and chopped all my hair off!!! I am really liking it! It is 10 times cooler and off of my neck! We were going to get Claire's hair trimmed also today - but she was in need of a huge nap so we put it off for another day :)

NRH2O Day With Daddy!

On Monday Michael joined us for a family day at the water park! It was so much fun showing Michael around our new favorite weekly activity! It was also fun for him to see how much Claire loves the water park! He realized very quickly that she has no fear of water or anything to do with water! I think my favorite part of the day was when Claire fell asleep on Michael in the wave pool! It was cute to see them snuggled up in an inner tube! Enjoy the pictures and video!

Hollywood!

Claire loves sunglasses! She has 3 real pair that she loves to wear inside and outside. Then the other day while cleaning out boxes from our storage building we found these star shaped glasses from my green school year of Super Summer. She has LOVED them! She wears them around the house like it is no big deal. She cracks us up!

4th of July at the Lester's

This 4th of July we spent the day at the Lester's! Claire is really liking hanging out with Katie and Mallory! She loves to follow them around and giggle at them, sometimes she even tries to copy what they are doing!
We had a wonderful time - we ate tons of great dips, grilled hamburgers, and had amazing desserts! It was a very low key night, which was very ok with us! About 9 we moved out into the front yard and watched the neighbors shoot fireworks! It was a pretty good show until the sheriff showed up! But we could look all around and see several different fireworks shows in the distance! Claire liked the fireworks, we were literally 3 houses down from the action so they were very loud! She wanted Michael to hold her the entire time - she would jump when they went off but then would clap and say yea!! All in all it was a great night!
