Trinity Graduation

Last week Claire graduated from Trinity Preschool.  We are so proud of our little learner! She received the Faith award for always believing that God will do what He says He will do and trusting in Him when she prays!!!  WOW!  That can make a momma's heart swell!

End of the Year

The kids finished their year at both preschools.  We are so thankful for the teachers and staff at both Trinity Bible Church and High Ridge they have really ministered to our family. Here are the first and last day pictures of my 2 sweet babies!

In View of a Call

This weekend we went down to Livingston in view of a call. We brought Claire and Cole with us. It was their first time to stay in a hotel and they loved it. Driving down Friday night we hit so many random obstacles - forgot Cole's shoes and stopped to get him new ones, Cole needed to stop every 30 minutes to go potty, and then we hit a crazy line of storms. We finally made it to Livingston around 10:30. 

Saturday we had a reception at the church for adults with out children. This time blessed my heart. Livingston has some of the sweetest senior citizens.

We had lunch with some of the staff and headed back to the hotel for naps. That night we had a picnic at the church for families. It was so great meeting so many new people and really get to know those we will be ministering to. Sunday morning we went to both church services and talked to so many people. The kids did fabulous in a new nursery and children's program. After church we had lunch with some of the staff and headed back to the hotel for naps. Sunday night we had a BBQ and swam at the Lester's and got to hang out with several families. Michael went and looked at a potential house for us to rent. Monday we slept in!! Went and looked at the rental house and this made me excited. I am happy to know we have a place to live. It was such a wonderful weekend and we feel so blessed and welcomed. 

God is in control

Michael and I have been called away from our church of 9 years. Back in April Michael and I were praying and seeking The Lord about what His plans were for our family, ministry, and individual lives. On a Sunday morning, Michael and I both felt the same thing from The Lord - that we were to leave Bear Creek. We had no idea where we were going we just knew we were supposed to go. Michael and I worked on his résumé and sent it to our friend and former pastor Brett. A few days passed and Brett called back and told us that his staff had been praying about their new Children and Family Minister and that for the past several months they had all felt that it was Michael. This began our journey with First Baptist Church Livingston. Michael and I went for our final interview on Mother's Day weekend. I interviewed at the intermediate school for a 4th grade position and was offered the job before I walked out the door. Michael and I have felt at such peace this entire journey. We have had out house on the market for less than a week and we have had 6 showings!! We are praying that it will sell quickly. We know that no matter what The Lord is in control. There are so many other things that have just fallen into place that we can not deny this is the journey God wants us on. We are excited and oh so sad to be leaving our friends and family. We laugh because after people inquire about why we are moving their 2nd question is - how are your mom and dad handling all this :). They are ok. I foresee a move in their future but don't know what that looks like. We will be traveling down to Livingston this weekend to go in view of a call. We are excited to meet the people this weekend. 

Tornados

On Wednesday tornados ripped through north Texas. We were at the church and all the news stations and storm chasers said there was a tornado headed straight for the church. We drove behind the church to a church members house and went to their underground storm cellar. It hailed for about 45 minutes. Luckily the tornado missed us and the church. It did however hit my home town of Cleburne and devastated it. Homes of friends are gone. Schools were damaged. It was bad. Thankfully everyone was ok. My parents house was fine.  

Dance picture day

Claire had dance pictures on Saturday. She has been waiting since early March to wear her costume so she was very excited!! I can't wait to get them back - she was pure sass that day and I think they turned out great!! Here are some snap shots from that day.
