One last swim before summer is truly gone!

We had a youth swim party tonight! It was a great time of fellowship! The amazing Haynes family hosted the party and they went above and beyond! We are so blessed to have amazing teenagers and amazing parents in our church!

Daddy took Claire for one last swim of the summer! The water was a little cold - but she did not mind! She stayed in for about 30 minutes and splashed and giggled the entire time! She was not happy when she had to get out!

This picture makes me laugh...Michael HATES water in his face and Claire just splashed really big!

Notice her crazy new hair! For those of you who haven't seen her lately - she woke up from a nap the other day and the hair on the back of her head is standing straight up and will NOT lay down. I am hoping it is the first sign of curls!!!

A comparison

The first picture was taken the Saturday after Claire was born on Wednesday. She is so tiny and doesn't even fill the basket.

Bragging on my husband

I need to brag on my husband!!! Today at school we had date with dad. I knew that all but 3 of my kiddos dads would be there. So, I asked Michael if he would come up and be a stand in dad for my 3 kids. When I asked him a few weeks ago I kind of didn't mention the time...which was 8:00 am :) So, last night he asks me what time he needed to be there and when I told him 8 I could see all of the crazy emotions going through his head - 8?!?!? That's so early!!! I have to get Claire up and ready!!! That is right in the middle of her morning nap and right before her breakfast!!!! That's so early!!! But, he never complained, and this morning at 8 am he got to bless 3 kids by being their stand in dad for the day! This meant the world to these 3 kids! And they loved getting to talk to Michael and hang out with him for 30 minutes.

Michael - thank you from the bottom of my heart for blessing me and my kids lives! You are an awesome daddy to Claire and today you got to pass that love on to three very deserving kids!!! I love you from the bottom of my heart!

Claire really really wants to play with our cat...our cat really really does not want to play with Claire! But, if Claire sees the cat she takes off after the kitty. Our pour cat seems to always be on his toes watching for her. What he doesn't seem to understand is that she is getting quicker!

Doctor's Visit

Claire went to the doctor this morning. Michael had to take her b/c I had to work. Which was totally ok with me since she had to have shots 4. She now weighs 17 1/2 pounds!!! We are guessing that the solid foods are helping put some weight on her Seeing that she gained almost 2 pounds since the last appointment. That puts her in the 90% for her weight. She is also 27 1/2 inches long which puts her in the 95% for her height. We have a healthy baby! She has had some congestion lately but the doctor said it was all in her nose and not in her lungs so we are to keep doing what we are doing - and no medication is needed! I will be posting a picture onto this post later - I have become one of "those" moms - Claire and I are dressed the same today :) We both have Coder Elem t-shirts on today. This will most likely be the only time we dress alike - but it is fun!!!

HAPPY 1/2 BIRTHDAY CLAIRE!!!!

Our sweet girl is 6 months old! The time has flown by! As I was putting all these pictures together it kind of brought tears to my eyes to remember back to March 19. Our love for Claire grows with each passing moment! We can not wait to see what the future holds for her! There will be another post soon with all of her new stats. She goes to the doctor today for her 6 month check up and shots :(

New Highchair

BB and Gigi bought Claire a highchair today! And she really seems to like it. We don't think it has interfered with her love of eating...you be the judge!
