Bowling

Our friend Brock turned 5 this past week. He and Claire are about 6 weeks apart and have been friends since his birth. We were so excited to celebrate his birthday with some bowling! The kids did so great for their first time bowling and Claire even got a strike. We are planning on going back with daddy sometime soon!!

Bees

Michael was mowing the front yard and came across a honey bee colony. We started researching people to come get them and it could have cost us anywhere between $150 to $500. Ouch! We have a member of our church that has just started keeping bees. We called him and he was more than happy to come and get them. The next morning we went back outside and the 2nd half of the colony had arrived. Kevin came back out and picked up the second half. He got between 3000 and 4000 bees.

Date Night with my Littles

Michael had a meeting last Monday night and it was also the night of the Boston Bombings. I didn't want to sit at home and just see sad things on tv so I grabbed the kids and took them on a date! We started off at Braums for some ice cream! Both kids got to pick whatever the wanted! Then we headed to the park. It was such a beautiful night. It made the night pass quickly - I love nights like that.

Bike riding

Claire is still loving her bike! She asks to ride all the time. We try to get out front as much as we can. She even rode around the block with daddy the other night!! Cole loves his scooter - however, the neighbor kid has a powered scooter and now he wants that...NO CHANCE

Craft night

While cleaning out the garage we found a paper bag puppet kit. The kids wanted to make puppets tonight so we sat down to create! We had fun!

Preschool graduation

Both of the kid's schools have some sort of preschool graduation. Claire's Tuesday/Thursday school had graduation pictures taken. They are super cute. Even though I think it's a little silly I am planning on buying one :)

Easter 2013

We had an awesome Easter.  We worshiped at church - the songs and gospel were powerful!  After church we headed to Ennis to spend Easter with our family.  We might not be blood related but we are family! We love Randy and Deliah and Chris and Jon!!!  My kids cried and cried when we had to leave!  It was such a low key laid back day!  The kids had all the Easter eggs to them selves, Claire had Jon's girlfriend Brianna all to herself, and Cole had the boys helping him pitch and bat!  It was also a BEAUTIFUL day and we spent a large portion of it outside!  Sadly, I didn't get a single family picture :( and we looked cute! 

The Easter Bunny brought the kids Angry Bird Star Wars hooded blankets! 

My girls Easter outfit...LOOK at those heels!!!  She walked with a little more sass with those on. They were a gift from her Gigi and she has asked to wear them everyday - including riding her bike!

There were so many eggs!!!  My kids each had to dump their baskets twice!

I am not sure how much candy this kid ate.  But, with a BB and a Gigi, and a Bubba and a Deliah and NO ONE telling him no I'm sure he had well over 20 pieces.  Look at how dirty his hands and face are in this picture.  He would get a piece of candy, go run around and come back for more!!
