6 Weeks Old!!!

Claire is now 6 weeks old! A friend gave us a baby scale and Claire now weighs 12 lbs even!!! She is getting so big!!!

Folding Clothes

Last night Michael and I were folding clothes and this is where Miss Claire sat and played the entire time! We are so lucky to have such a laid back baby!!!

A new toy!

Tonight we bought Claire her play mat! We went ahead and bought the rain forest play mat so it would match other things we have in the house. She really enjoyed it! The little cat plays music, and Claire kept looking at it trying to figure out where the sound was coming from.
She is so strong. She pushes up on her arms and looks around...but she has been doing that since the hospital. We are hoping that the mat makes tummy time more enjoyable for her.

Sitting on the couch with dad. She just sat there for the longest time, then she got tired and wanted to go to sleep.

New Bow!!!

It is official...Claire is now a big bow headed baby!!! We had to start off with the hot pink one! And it was the smallest one we could find. She will now have a bow on her head until she can say..."Mom, I hate wearing bows" Which I hope will NEVER happen!

Claire's first walk and lounging around

Today we took Claire for her first walk. She loved looking around at all the new sights. She even talked to the trees! It is so amazing to see someone look at something for the first time! I can't wait to go on more and more walks with her!

Yesterday Claire hung out in her boppy so mommy could cook dinner. She LOVES looking at the ceiling fan!

5 Weeks old and growing every day!!!

Claire went to the doctor today for one of her shots. She did fine. We did find out that she now weighs 11 lbs and 4 oz and is now 23 inches long. She gained one pound in two weeks and grew an inch! She is getting big too quickly. Here are some pics to show how big she is getting!! Everyone loves a baby in a diaper!!

One Month Old!!!

Our sweet Claire is one month old today! I can not believe that it has been a month since I had her! We went to a wedding tonight so Claire got to get all dressed up! She looked so cute...but she always does!

Claire went to school today!

Today was my school's class picture day, and I wanted to be in my class's picture so Michael, Claire, and I made the trip to Arlington for the picture. It was so good to see my students, who loved seeing Miss Claire, but I really really loved seeing all my friends! I didn't realize how much I really missed them until I saw them today! They are going to make going back to work a little easier for me!

Hey Ladies it was a real blessing to see all of you today! And those of you I missed seeing...I can't wait to see you!

After the long day Claire was so tired, and so was mommy, so we took a nap on the couch. After we woke up, Claire took another nap in her bed! (This is the most she has slept during the day in a long time...I'm in for a long night)

Claire has started "talking" to us

Claire has an awake period (or as some call it a "fussy" period) from around 10:30 pm to 1:00 am. Well last night even though she was awake she was in a very playful mood. She has just started cooing at us and making noises that aren't grunts or cries. Michael can make her laugh and smile at him just by talking to her. So these pictures were taken around midnight last night, Michael and I were laughing so hard at her. She would look at us and then just crack a big smile or start laughing or cooing! I was so tired but didn't even care!!

Towards the end when she started getting sleepy, she would cry a little and then Michael would talk to her and she would start smiling! This is one of those moments.

We are back!

Today was a restful day spent in our PJ's . I like to think that Claire is thinking in this photo. In reality she is playing with her hair...which she does to help herself fall asleep.I have to say that she is such a pretty baby!!!

This is her favorite sleeping position. She always has her hands straight beside her head.

Mommy got a dishwasher this week!! We have had it for a while but have not had time to install it! I don't know what life was like with out one...yes I do...a sink full of dishes that never ended!

3 weeks old!

Mommy and daddy can't believe it has been 3 weeks! And they think that I'm growing way too fast!!!

More Tummy Time

Today Claire spent some time on her tummy. At first she hated it, but then I found this crazy cow toy we have, and all of a sudden she loved it. I guess she really likes the cow!
