So in January I started back to work. It has been hard...very hard. I don't know if there is any other way to explain it. Claire and Cole both were sleeping through the night when I went back to work with them. Callen - hardest baby to sleep train EVER! We feed him at 10 and he is up at 2 it usually takes a full hour to feed, change him, and get him back to sleep. Then I am up at 5 to get ready for the day and feed him at 6. I feel like I am so very patient with my school kids - which kind of surprises me since I am so tired. I leave work around 4:15-4:30 each day and then do life with our family. I have been trying to work out on Tuesdays and Thursdays but sometimes my exhaustion wins.
Claire is in full dance mode. Mondays she has dance from 5 - 6:15. She is working on 4 dance routines and types - clogging, ballet, tap, and jazz. Ballet is still her favorite but she truly does love to just dance. She is loving school. I was listening to her read the other night and it is just starting to click. About a month ago she was sounding out words - even words she knows and sight words. Part of this is because she is worried about messing up, but she is overcoming this fear and is becoming a great little reader.
Cole is hilarious. I don't know of many other words to describe him. He is a master talker - he knows how to get himself into trouble and just as quickly get out of trouble. He is VERY smart. Too smart maybe. He reads, spells, and loves to add numbers in his head. He loves playing make believe with his action figures and also loves playing Disney Infinity. He has also started back to school and is thriving in this environment.
Callen is 4 months old. He is eating cereal and loves it. He is rolling from back to belly - usually in his sleep, but every once in a while he will do it while awake. He is our serious child. We post a lot of pictures of him smiling - those are usually the only times he is smiling. He will smile at you if you are talking to him, but his normal resting face comes across very grumpy. He is a happy baby. He is usually grumpy between the hours of midnight and 5 am - which is why I am so tired lol.
Michael is super dad. Really. He gets all 3 kids up and ready for school, gets them to school, and then heads into work for a full day. On Mondays and Wednesdays he picks up Cole. On Fridays he has Callen all day and still manages to clean the house and pay bills. His ministry at the church is thriving and growing each week. I love to see all the new faces that are coming. It is a blessing to come along side of him and serve.
Life is crazy - but this season is also so sweet.
