This is our 2nd year of planning, executing, and putting on a Family VBS. It was an AMAZING week. My husband is such a planner and really has everything organized down to the smallest details. He is a rock star. We have been doing Group Publishing's VBS that take us back to Bible times. The kids learn about the Bible through stories, crafts, games, songs, tribe time lessons and so much more. This year's theme was Hometown Nazareth, where Jesus was a kid. The kid's learned all about Jesus as a boy and what he did to learn more about God - He had a family, He had a home, He went to church, He read the Bible, He served others. Last year our biggest night we had 88 kids. This year we had 155 kids! The unique thing about a family VBS is that we encourage parents/grandparents/guardians to attend with their children. Our goal in Family Ministry is to equip parents to be the primary faith trainers of their children. I love this ministry that we are in right now!!

My sweet sweet Cole! I can not believe you are 5 years old!! You are a bright ray of sunshine on this earth. You are SUPER smart - you are reading, numbers are your thing (we give you 2 numbers and you add them in your head), you LOVE superheros, ninja turtles, dinosaurs and hotwheels, you love playing outside but you are not the sporty type (you are going to try soccer this fall), you love Jesus and telling others about Him and the miracles He has done in you. Cole you always have a story to tell and start them off with "let me tell you something." You are a cuddle bug and have a true heart of gold. Happy Birthday Cole!!

For Cole's birthday we rented the city pool. We had the entire pool to ourselves plus 2 lifeguards for 2 hours and it was perfect!!! Cole's birthday being at the beginning of July we either need inside AC or outside and wet. Cole loved having his party on his actual birthday! It was a great day!
