20 Weeks!

We have made it to 20 weeks!!!  This pregnancy has flown by.  The first 2 seemed to last forever...but not this one. It's crazy to me to think that in 19 weeks we will be holding baby #3!

Stats on this pregnancy -
  • Weight gain - I have lost 8 pounds and since entering the second trimester have stayed the same.
  • Cravings - pickles (I eat at least 1 spear a day...if not more), cheese, ice cream, peaches, peach cobbler, Chinese food (I think this is more because we don't have good Chinese food here and I just really want some - ha!)
  • Movement - I've been feeling the baby move since around week 15/16.  Michael has felt the baby move from one side of my belly to the other a couple of times and this week felt the baby kick - HARD!
  • Sleep - I'm actually sleeping really well!  I might wake up once during the night to go to the bathroom but I am so tired from the end of school that sleep comes easily and quickly and I tend to stay asleep for long periods of time.
  • Gender - we find out in 2 weeks what baby H will be!!!  Most people feel like it is a girl...but we shall see!!!
I am super ready for the kids to be able to feel the baby move.  Claire often kisses my belly and wants to snuggle up next to me.  Cole likes to talk to the baby and tell the baby things.  They are both going to be amazing big siblings!!!

Kindergarten Graduation May 23, 2014

On Friday, May 23, 2014, Claire graduated from Kindergarten!  I taught kindergarten for 3 years and graduation day always got to me.  But, with it being my own child I really got emotional during the ceremony.  Claire looked beautiful and did an awesome job.  I can't believe we have our first year of school behind us.  These 6 years have flown by.

They revealed that this kindergarten class is the senior class of 2026.  This made me cry!

Claire's amazing teacher Mrs. Morris - we have LOVED her!!!

Here she comes!!!

Shaking hands with Mr. Rice, her principal

Claire was so blessed with an amazing teacher this year.  She LOVES Mrs. Morris and we are super thankful for all she's done for our sweet girl this year.

This is David. He goes to our church and his dad was the head football coach.  David and Claire are sweet friends.  David calls Claire his sweet Claire bear.  Claire came home and said - "David asked me to marry him and I told him no because I don't have Jesus in my heart yet!"  (this was a few months ago)

Claire will be going to the new elementary next year.  We are excited about this new adventure and what it will hold. This campus for just next year will be a pre-k, kinder, 1st grade campus so she will be the big kid on campus.  She will also be the only GT student on campus so she will get one on one GT classes - she's pretty excited about one on one attention and I'm sure will love it even more once the baby gets here.

Congratulations on your first year of school Claire!  We are so proud of you!

Happy Spiritual Birthday Claire

Tonight is a night we will never forget. Tonight our sweet Claire bear asked Jesus into her heart as her Lord and Savior. This is something we have been praying for since the day we found out we were pregnant with her. Knowing she will be with us for eternity is the most amazing feeling. She has known all the answers for a while now but would tell us that she wasn't ready yet. Michael and I know this is her decision so we never pushed it. We would answer any question she had and talk through thoughts with her. Today she told us she was ready. And boy was she. It was one of the sweetest moments we've shared with her and so genuine and real. We are so proud of her and the life changing decision she made today.

First swim of the year

Last Saturday, Michael and Brett went to a wedding in Fort Worth.  Joy and I stayed home - 8 hours in the car is too much for our kiddos.  Joy invited us over to swim and have pizza.  The water was 76 degrees!!!  SOOOO cold!  But the kids LOVED it.  They are ready to swim again.  We will hopefully be taking swim lessons the first part of June which will make this momma a little less stressed around the water.
