Claire's new stats!

Claire went to the doctor on Thursday for her 2 month check up and shots. I didn't get to go with her b/c of school but after I found out she had to have 4 shots I was completely ok with her daddy taking her!
Claire now weighs 14 lbs 6 oz - she is in the 97% range for her age and the 50% range for babies who are 5 to 6 months old!
She is 24 3/4 inches long!
Like my great grandfather would say "She is growing like bad grass!"

SOLD!

After 3 very long years, countless prayers, and a new roof Michael and I are rejoicing that the Lord has blessed us by selling our house! We realize that it was something only He could do and He will get ALL the glory for it! We are so thankful that the Lord has heard our cries and gave us the desire of our hearts! We are excited for what this means - closer to church, closer to work, closer to the students we minister to. We are sad that it means - further from our parents and the town we have known as home. But, we know that God's timing is ALWAYS perfect and that in His time we will move.
We are supposed to close on the 27 of June. We know that so much could happen between now and then but praise God for what He is doing now!

Night night bunny

We noticed the other night that Claire was waving her arms and waking her self up. So I put a burp cloth in there with her and she clung so tightly to it and slept very well. So then I remembered that she had a little blanket with a bunny on it. We are calling it her night night bunny. Last night she slept all night clinging to it! It was so sweet!
Driving out to the church the other day, Claire had been VERY quiet. So Michael and I assumed that she was asleep. I stuck the camera back there to snap a picture of the sleeping princess and this is what we saw! So sweet!

This morning while Michael and I got ready for church, Claire slept on our bed! She looked so cute and snuggly we both wanted to get back in bed with her!
Our new church building opens next Sunday! We are so excited about all that God is doing!

"Uncle" Daniel and "Aunt" Melanie are Engaged!!!!

Tonight we went over to Michael's best friend Daniel's house to celebrate their birthdays. We had a huge BBQ and ate way too much food! At the end of the night Daniel surprised Melanie by finally asking her to be his wife! We have known about this for a while now and I was so glad that the secret was OUT! She of course said yes! We are so happy for them and can't wait for the wedding!!!!

2 Months Old and Family Pictures!

Our sweet baby has been here for 2 months now!! We can hardly believe it! If I look tired in this picture, there is a good reason...I AM! I started back to work today! It was a tough day, but I made it through it! The thing that got me through the day is knowing that Michael and I are exactly where God wants us. As much as I want to be a stay at home mom, I know that God has called us to youth ministry and right now that just can't happen. So, even though it was hard to leave my baby this morning, I praise God for all the blessing He has poured out on our lives!On Saturday we had our first family pictures taken. I'm happy with the pictures...we did NOT have a good photographer...she was very bad at centering and she cut our heads off in some of the pictures and Claire was NOT liking her. But in the end we found some that we were happy with...and they were free to us so even better!

Family Shower Day!

My amazing family had a family baby shower for me today! We tried and tried to do it before Claire came, but when you live in a family of Coaches you know that Spring is a VERY busy time!

We got the cubes that go in this shelf at our first shower, but the shelf was on back order. Now we have the shelf!

Bedtime routine!

We are trying to make bedtime a more pleasant experience for Claire and us. So we have started a bedtime routine. Because I am all about reading and starting it at a young age, we read Claire a book...which she LOVES! and sing her a song. Then it is prayer time and off to bed. I have done this for a couple of nights now and her "fussy" period seems to be OVER!

I'm really enjoying reading books with Claire! I really hope that she has a love for reading like I do!

Claire and I went up to my school today for my friend Allison's baby shower! We are so excited to meet sweet baby Caroline in a few short months!!! It was so great to see my friends. They are going to be a great support next week when I return to work.

Tonight we went to dinner with Michael's dad and step mom for a late Mother's day dinner. They LOVED getting to love on Claire...but who doesn't? Claire is getting so big! She's not our tiny baby anymore!
