A couple of weeks ago my cousin Amanda was crowned Ms. Wheelchair Texas!! We are all very excited for her and this new journey she is on. Over Easter she brought her crown for Claire to try on! Claire thinks Amanda is a real princess - and we do too!! You can read more about Ms. Wheelchair Texas by going here http://mswheelchairtexas.org/ms-wheelchair-texas-2011/
The Easter Bunny went to BB and Gigi's house and put eggs ALL over their house! There were TONS of eggs with TONS of candy in them! Claire loved having a hunt all by herself. She might be a little sad when she learns that next year she will have to share the hunt!
So we tried to get another shot of the kids in their Easter outfits...this picture shows Claire trying to hold Cole down in a not so nice way.
We took Cole away....
And this is the face we got :(Let's try one more time!
Getting a good family picture or even a picture of the two kids is proving to be very hard these days. Here are the best we could get Sunday morning after church!
The Easter Bunny brought the kids some great stuff this year! Cole got a stuffed blue bunny, a blue bunny that vibrates and makes this chatter noise, and a Star Wars ABC book.
Claire got a pink stuffed bunny, TONS of candy, a glittery head band, a bracelet, bouncy balls, and a new Tangled look and see book!!
My aunt and uncle always have a big Easter egg hunt. Before there were grandnieces and nephews all of us got to hunt eggs and they would have things like office supplies inside of them. It was always very fun. Now, she hides the eggs for all the little ones and they have a blast! This year she hid a golden egg for each of them and when they turned in their golden egg she gave them a prize! It was fun to watch Claire run through their property to find tons of eggs!
I found a golden egg!
Claire's pink hair - my mom, who is a very cool grandmother of 2, dyed 3 strips of her white hair pink!!! When Claire saw her hair she wanted to make her hair pink as well. Michael said absolutely NOT! So my mom bought her real hair extensions that are dyed pink! It is a great compromise among us all!!
opening all the eggs - we give all the eggs back to my aunt so she can fill them and hide them again next year!
One of my favorite things about my aunt and uncle's house is their holiday tree. It stays up all year long and is decorated for each holiday! It is always fun to come over and see how she has it decorated!
Sometimes when you are the youth minister's children you "get" to stay at the church while people clean and get ready for the next activity. You learn to play with all kinds of things and entertain yourselves quiet nicely!
Cole had 1 egg that he batted around and played with for about 25 minutes! He was so happy chasing that thing all around the worship room.
We did cardboard testimonies on Sunday, and the cardboard pieces came in a giant box. Claire loved this box and played in it for 30 minutes or longer. I believe this box is coming home to us to be turned into Rapunzel's tower :)
