Cole's school Easter Egg Hunt

I go to a lot of Claire's school events but don't really get to go to Cole's until today. I was so excited that I got to go watch Cole hunt eggs! It was fun being there and watching him be so happy!!

Claire's actual birthday

Claire's birthday usually lands on Spring Break.  But for the last two years it has fallen the week after.  Last year I took off on her birthday and we spent the entire day as a family.  When I asked Claire if she would like to skip school on her birthday she looked at me with a weird expression and said "NO! I want to go to school for my birthday!"  I was sad - not even going to lie.  So, I took a half day off so I could take a treat to school for Claire.  I thought she would want cupcakes or a cake but she surprised me with wanting chocolate chip cookies!  So I made her a cookie cake!  She LOVED it.
Claire is obsessed with weddings.  Really, she is obsessed with her wedding.  That girl wants to get married now! Most parents start a college fund for their children, we are thinking of starting a wedding fund :) . Anyways, she talks about it so much that her sweet teacher brought her wedding dress for Claire to wear during snack time.  Claire loved looking like a princess - but she did tell me later that she would like a dress a little different from Mrs. Tanya's dress!
After school we came home to rest for an hour or so and then we headed to Chuck E. Cheese!  We had an awesome coupon for a large pizza, 4 drinks, and 80 tokens! We had a fun time as a family eating pizza and playing games.  Something came up at the end of our time there and we had to leave.  But we have several tokens and all of our tickets left for the next time we come back!

Claire loves Barbies and she loves ballet.  So we got her the new Barbie and the Pink Dancing Shoes DVD and Barbie! She has been wanting this for a while!!

Claire totally gets that mascots are people in a costume...however, this robot Chuck E she thought was a man with a costume on!!

Happy Birthday Claire

My sweet sweet Claire Bear,
When you were born I would laugh when people would say - hold on it goes by in a flash! I thought they were so silly. Now flash forward 5 years and I honestly don't know where the time went. We jokingly say we want you to be our baby girl forever, but a small part of me wishes time would slow down so I can hold onto you a little bit longer. I have loved each stage we have journeyed through together. But right now I am truly loving the young lady you are becoming. You are so very smart. You have this memory that your daddy and I call a steal trap! You are loving. You have one of the most beautiful hearts I've ever seen. You are falling in love with Jesus and you are so curious about who He is and why we love Him so much. You are asking more and more questions about Jesus and I know your heart is starting to open to Him as your Lord and Savior. I can not wait for that day!!! I am also loving the friendship that we are developing. I love talking to you and hearing your heart and stories. I love seeing your hope and excitement for your future! I LOVE that you ask us to pray for your future prince every night!! It makes me so happy that you know how important it is that your future husband loves Jesus.
Claire, we are so incredibly proud of you! You make us smile each and every day. We love you with all our hearts, to the moon and back!!! Happy Happy Birthday my sweet Claire.

Riding her bike

Last year when Claire had her well check she could do everything on her physical except ride a bike. It was crazy since she could do everything else and has amazing hand eye coordination - but, put her on a bike and she could not make it go! She asked her BB and Gigi for a bike for her birthday. She has been struggling to ride it but tonight she got it!! I was so excited for her and she was so excited for herself and rode for an hour tonight!!! Now, she only wants to ride in a circle and when I suggested she ride down the side walk she looked at me like I grew 3 heads!! But she is now a bike rider! One day before she turns 5!!!
