New Ride!

Claire got her new car seat this week from Gigi and BB! She love the new ride and LOVES facing forward - except when the sun gets in her eyes - I guess she's going to have to wear some shades!

Where did that come from?

The other day I picked Claire up from daycare and she was playing outside - which meant that she was COVERED in dirt! I took her in washed her up, dusted all the dirt off of her and headed home. She always lays down when we get home for about an hour nap - when I went to get her out of her bed this is what I found...

I was shocked at all the dirt! I could not figure out where it had come from...until I was changing her diaper. That day she had on these cute new pants that rolled up into capri's with huge amounts of dirt stuffed in the cuffs - we are guessing that she tried to bring the sand box home with her! This baby needs a giant turtle sandbox!
- On a sidenote - this was the 2nd time that day we had to change Claire's sheets on her bed!!! All of you moms out there know what a huge pain this is and I had to do it twice in one day!!

Monday night Claire and I were playing in the floor while Michael was sitting on the couch. She was having a grand time cruising between the couch and my shoulders to my knees when all of a sudden she just let go and stood there! Michael and I were so shocked and we all three just sat there staring at each other!!! About 15 seconds pass and Claire carefully lowers herself to the ground and then looks up at us scared to death! Michael and I start clapping and cheering for her - which she of course LOVED - however we think that she thought we were cheering for her sitting down - so she would then pull herself up on me and plop down to the ground and start clapping for herself! What a silly baby! We see walking in the very near future - and if not walking more standing!

A Day Off!!!!

This past weekend was our Winter Blast or D-Now at our church. It was a WONDERFUL weekend and we had so much fun - however - when I woke up this morning at 5:00 to get ready for work my body reminded me that I had only had 13 hours of sleep over the past 72 hours! So I called in a sub and went back to bed!! It was also wonderful b/c I hadn't seen Claire all weekend long and I got to spend the entire day with her! Here are some pictures from our day! First we made chocolate chip cookies - by made I mean took out of the freezer :) and then Claire enjoyed a yummy cookie! We then went out to play on the back patio. I realized that I have a lot of work to do out back before Claire's birthday party next month! It was a wonderful day of rest, relaxing, and of course chocolate chip cookies!!

11 month photo shoot!

This afternoon we took Claire to get her picture taken. Mimi had a coupon for the Kiddie Kandids Portrait Studio - which I highly recommend for your month to month photos! They did a great job with Claire and made her laugh! We love the pictures that we got!

Suckers!

Last night we let Claire lick a sucker for the first time! And guess what? She LOVED it!! We had watermelon drool EVERYWHERE! She never wanted to hold it on her own but loved licking it!!!

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!!!

What a wonderful Valentines Day! We loved getting to spend the entire day at home and together! Claire had a couple of Valentines cards in the mail this week. One from Grandpa Bill and Grandma Suz and the other from her Great Grandma and Great Grandpa. She LOVED opening the cards and looking at them. Her daddy asked her to be his Valentine this morning with a teddy bear and her favorite candy - M&M minis! She of course said yes! So daddy let her have some M's for breakfast! It's Valentines Day - every kids eats chocolate for breakfast :)

Bad Hair Day!

These are probably pictures that Claire will hate us for someday - however they make us laugh so hard right now!! She woke up from a nap the other afternoon and this is how her hair looked!!! That hair has a mind of its own!!

My best friends wedding!!!

On Saturday my best friend Krystle married the man of her dreams - Taylor! I had the great honor of being in her wedding! The wedding was BEAUTIFUL!!! The only down size was that I had to be away from Michael and Claire for 2 1/2 days!!!! But it was well worth it in the end!

Here is one of Claire sitting in her VERY messy playroom. Michael and I clean it up and she tears it apart in about 30 seconds or less!

My brother growing up had a stuffed giraffe that he slept with (he might still...) and was his comfort item. When he came to see me in the hospital after Claire was born he brought her, her very own giraffe! The other day Claire saw it sitting up on top of a shelf and started reaching for it. I gave it to her and she played with it forever! If I can figure out how to pull the video off of my phone I will post it on here also.
