Christmas morning - opening gifts!

Opening presents was such a fun thing this year! Claire was excited about all of her gifts and really got into opening them. I loved watching the joy on her face as she opened gifts that she had asked for!

She has been asking for this game "Once Upon a Monster" for the kinect since she played the demo with her daddy a few months ago. She was very excited to get this game!
LaLaLoopsy...This doll caused a bit of a panic for us. We had never heard of this doll until Claire asked for one. We saw tons of commercials for them and saw them at Walmart so we didn't think it would be too hard to find one. However, Claire wanted the princess Lalaloopsy doll - Jewel Sparkles - which apparently every other girl in America wanted as well. We could not find her anywhere. We ended up buying the last ballerina Lalaloopsy at Walmart just in case we couldn't find it by Christmas. On ebay they were going for around $60 to $70 and we were not about to pay that for a $19 doll! Thanksgiving day my dad did a quick search on amazon and found a Jewel Sparkle doll for $24 free shipping and tax free! We bought it on the spot and it arrived at my parents house that next Monday!!! Every time we went into Walmart Claire would look for Jewel Sparkle and would be very sad that they were sold out :) we knew she had one wrapped under our tree!!

Michael had a Grover doll like this growing up and when we found this back in October Michael knew Cole had to have one as well. Cole is so sweet with Grover. He gives him drinks from his sippy cup and even shares his paci with him!

This is my favorite picture! I am so happy I caught the excitement on her face! She opened up her Barbie Fairy Secret doll and was very excited about it!

Christmas morning - Santa gifts

Claire was really into Christmas this year and could not wait for Christmas morning. She was very specific about what she asked Santa for and was really hoping that is what she would see Christmas morning. When she got up, she walked into the living room straight past her new toys and went over to the plate of cookies we left for Santa. She noticed that the cookies were gone and told her daddy about the cookies being gone. Then she looked over by the tv and exclaimed "Santa brought me presents!!!" and ran over to check out her new castle!
I know that one day, around the age of 12, she will be very mad at me for not fixing her hair before snapping these pictures...but I think her hair adds to the "Christmas morning" look!

This when she noticed her stocking!

All the while...the little boy who woke up at 3...was back asleep in his mommy and daddy's bed!

Then he woke up, and it was time for him to see what Santa brought him! Santa did a GREAT job. He loves his Batman play set and Batman figures. He will sometimes just walk around holding the characters in his hands. Also, he says Batman, which is about the cutest thing ever!

Santa Came!!

Claire and Cole were very good this year and Santa brought them play sets!! Claire is obsessed with these little princesses that wear plastic costumes and their costumes are interchangeable. A few months back she saw the castle for all of them to play in and she knew that is what she wanted to ask Santa for. Now, we know that there are separate houses for each princess that connect to the castle...I think she knows what will be on her birthday wish list!

Santa snuck into Claire's room and got her princesses for the castle.

Brother and Sister gifts

Claire and Cole gave each other their gifts on Christmas Eve before bed. Cole gave Claire a Rapunzel doll from the Disney store - it is the animators collector doll! She is very cute. Claire gave Cole a Buzz Lightyear. He loves him and is super excited to have him so he can play with Claire since she has Jessie and now Woody!

Baking Cookies for Santa

On Christmas Eve we baked cookies for Santa. This is the 2nd year we have done this and I am loving this tradition. This year I had the easiest cookies. They were sugar cookies that you rolled into a ball and then rolled in green and red sprinkles. It was great because Claire could be very involved in the process!!!

It's a good thing Santa loves this little girl!! She was licking her fingers each time! LOVE her!

Messy hands!!!
