Cole is 11 months old

Cole, you are 11 months old and you are crazy!!! You keep me on my toes. Here is what you are up to!

• You still have 7 teeth but I see several about to break the surface
• You are eating table food and feeding yourself
• You are in 12 month clothing for the length but it tends to fall off of you because you are so skinny.
• You LOVE the water and enjoy being in the pool or at the water park.
• You sleep from 8:00 till 7:00 every night
• You have allergies just like your sister
• You crawl everywhere and FAST!
• You are a climber - if you want something you are going to get it no matter what we put in your way.
• You say - mama, dada, bye bye, ack ack (quack quack)
• You sign - more, milk, eat, all done, sleepy
• You point at things
• You are taking 2 naps a day. Some times you only take one long nap.
• You love to cuddle
• You need to be around people
• You are finally starting to entertain yourself for short periods of time
• You are now liking your bouncer
  
• You love cheerios
  
• Your sister can make you laugh just by saying your name. You want to play with her and her toys so bad but she doesn't like you messing with her special toys.
• You have become obsessed with your uncle Jamie. He has become one of your favorite people.

I can not believe that you are about to be 1 year old! We are planning your splash party and can not wait to celebrate your special day with you. We love you bubba!!

Taking your monthly pictures has become very hard! This is what most of the pictures look like!

You have also discovered that your monthly markers can come off and you want to take them off!

Bunny Gets a Bed

Claire sleeps with 3 things every night - bunny, bear, and blanket. She also has this giant pink bear that stays on her bed named Yogi. Last night when I went to check on her she had made bunny and bed on top of Yogi and covered bunny with blanket. Bear got to sleep tucked under her arm all night. She treats bunny and bear like they are real and they really are her best friends. I will be super sad the day she doesn't need them to sleep with.

Caper's Family Reunion 2011

This year our family reunion was in Brownwood on the lake at a place called Carnes Camp. We rented the entire camp and it was nice not sharing it with other random people. The poor lake was dried up but the did have a pool that we could toss all the kids in. Pretty much our family reunions consist of staying up way too late and eating all day! It's great to catch up with all my cousins and aunts and uncles. Can't wait for next year!

Basketball Fan

As most everyone knows the Dallas Mavericks are NBA world Champions. We love basketball in our family and watched every game of the finals. During the last game we taught Claire how to boo when they were announcing the Heat's names. It was pretty funny.

Spaghetti!

Cole had spaghetti for the first time last night. He loved it. A little too much. By the end of dinner Michael was asking me why we gave him spaghetti! He went straight into the bathtub after dinner.

Our First Trip to the Library!

Today for school we decided to go to the public library. It is literally 1 minute down the road from us, and we have never been. During the summer on Tuesdays and Thursdays they have story time, so we thought today would be a good day to try it out.

Claire loved picking out some books to read. Because it was our first time she could only pick out 2 books. She picked out The Gingerbread Man and Snow White. Mommy picked out two books for this week to use during school - The A Book and The B Book. After Claire picked out her books she wanted to read to the animals. There was a stage with these giant animals on it, but there were tons of kids on it, so I told her she should pick an animal out of the bucket. She picked the rabbit that was missing a leg. She read both of her books to the rabbit and then it was time to go to story time!

Story time!!! This is not the usual story time lady, and you could totally tell! Being a early childhood teacher it made me cringe to hear her read aloud. But the normal lady should be back next week so we will try it out again.

All the books she read had to do with dancing. Claire got very excited because she loves to dance! But the lady didn't have them dance or even act out the books so Claire got a little bored.

This is a picture of Claire telling the little boy next to her to behave!! He was WILD! And it was driving Claire nuts. She kept telling him to be quiet and listen and to stop kicking his legs and hitting her with his toy. The sad part was, his mom was sitting right behind him and did nothing...10 bucks says he'll be in my class one day :)

At the end of story time they got to draw a picture of something or someone dancing.

We then went to get our library cards!! Claire was very excited that we will get to come back each week and check out new books!!
