Praising God with every step!

I don't think we can say that Cole is walking, but he is taking steps. He has been able to stand with out any assistance for a long time, but because of his leg issues, whenever he would try to take a step his leg would give out and he would fall. Last Friday he stood and took 3 steps. The next day he went in 3 step busts through out the day but usually when we would act silly. Probably throughout the day he is taking about 20 steps but we are very thankful for each and every step. Thank you so much for each and every prayer you have said for us. Please keep them coming! We are not out of the woods 100% yet!

Claire's Bible Verses

So Claire's AMAZING school teacher and my sweet friend Joy has been teaching Claire each day, they call it "school". Not only is she learning a letter a week, math, writing skills, cutting skills, and coloring skills, she is also learning a Bible verse a week. Each Bible verse starts with the letter they are learning. We are so proud of Claire and the work that she is doing. Each night she asks us to say her Bible verses. We love that she is already hiding His word in her heart!!!

Grandpa Bill's car show

Grandpa Bill has been restoring an old car and has been taking it to car shows. Today we went down to Hillsboro to see his car and the other cars. It was a little warm today but we had a lot of fun!

Roof rebuild day 1

We realized a while back that there was something wrong with the roof around our chimney. We had our insurance people come look at it but they said it was classified as water damage/flooding and we weren't covered. Thank goodness Michael is a handy man and can fix almost anything! He got all the supplies earlier this week and started as soon as I got home from work today. He just got the demo done tonight and will rebuild tomorrow. We are counting our blessings that our roof didn't cave in!

Ahoy Matey!

Claire was invited to our friend Jacob's 5th birthday party! It was pirate themed and they had a pirate bounce house, a treasure hunt, a pirate ship piƱata, and of course cake and ice cream! It was a fun afternoon celebrating Jacob and we were so glad we could be apart of his special day!!

Claire's first cake

My mom owns a bakery and a couple of weeks ago when Claire and Cole spent the night, Claire got to go into the bakery and decorate a cake all by herself! She decided that Michael's mom, Mimi, needed it for her birthday. We think she did a fabulous job!

In-N-Out Burger

In-N-Out Burger has come to north Texas!! We have been very excited to go and eat at one of the locations near by. However, the first few weeks, and sometimes even now, there is a 2 hour wait to get in the parking lot! A couple of Friday nights ago we decided to head down to the 7th street location - we knew if it was too packed we had several other options we could choose from. Luckily with 2 small children you tend to eat really early (ie 5 o'clock). There were people there but, there were no lines and a even tables for us to sit at! Michael has had In-N-Out before so he knew he would love it. This was my first time - and I LOVED it!! The kids got a cheese burger - hold everything but the cheese - making it a grilled cheese! And they loved every bite as well. All in all it was a fun experience and one we will be doing again!

Very Bad Blogger!

So...those of you who see me on a regular basis know that school this year is kicking my booty!!  I have a class that is challenging me both mentally and physically each and every day. However, I am learning to be a very good and disciplined teacher through my 23 blessings.  All that being said, blogging has taken a back seat.  I have about 7 posts that need to go up and hopefully very soon they will get on here!  Hang with me!  I promise pictures of my adorable children on here real soon (maybe even tonight...maybe).
