Photo dump day!!

We've had a crazy week. Our youth kids, Michael and I all participated in a 30 hour famine to raise money for World Vision. Cole is running a random fever without any symptoms. And we got tickets to see the new show starting at the zoo next week. We got to see it before everyone else and they provided snacks and drinks - which is always fun!
Funny Story: I said "Claire, your daddy is hot!!"  and she replied - "Oooh can I feel!"

One Week

Next Friday we will start our journey with Scottish Rite Hospital in Dallas.  We take Cole in that morning at 9:00.  The welcome packet we got in the mail told us that we should expect to spend several hours on our initial meeting.  We really do not know what to expect.  We do know that they sent us an itinerary and we know where we are from 9:00 - 9:20 and then we know where we are starting at 9:45.  I know that God has opened this door for us and we are so thankful for the opportunity just to meet with them.  Even if they tell us the exact same thing the other doctors told us - we know that God ordained this meeting on our behalf. If you would keep us in your prayers this next week we would really appreciate it! Here is our little Batman in his new PJ's.  He has been running a fever today - with no other symptoms!
This picture shows you just how much of a difference there is between his legs.  This is how he stands 90% of the time.

The stations

On Good Friday our church set up stations around the room. They went from washing the disciples feet, praying in the garden, Peter's denial, the crown of thorns, then there was an area with pictures of Jesus on the cross, from there you stood in front of a cross and then finished with the Lord's supper. Well Claire was very interested in the stations so Michael took her through and explained each one. Since then she has talked a lot about each station and what they mean. In Sunday school they have been talking about the cross, the tomb, the ladies visiting the tomb and the angel telling them He wasn't there, and then 40 days later he went to be with God in heaven. Well she has put them all together in order and preaches a pretty good sermon on the death and resurrection of Christ. She's also been talking about when she is older she will ask Jesus to live in her heart. She usually follows that up with - but the Jesus in the manger He's small enough to fit in my heart!! Ha ha!

Warrior Dash

My dad ran in the Warrior Dash this weekend. We were excited to go and watch him start the race and do the last 3 obstacles. I am SO proud of my dad!  This is way out of his comfort zone and he still did it.  It was 3.4 miles and the obstacles were crazy!  We were glad we could cheer him on!
We had to park at Texas Motor Speed Way and take a bus over to the race course.  Claire has never been on a school bus and she was in Heaven.  It was like she was on a limo instead of a smelly yellow bus!
 Looking for her BB

 We found him!!!
Getting ready for the race to start

Michael had several little friends!  This one gave him wings!

 Here he goes!!!

 Good Luck Dad!

While we waited...we looked at butterflies
Sat and had a drink
Tried to get through a fence
 Laid in the sun
and gave daddy a head message

We headed over to the hill about 50 minutes into the race and waited for BB to crawl over the cargo net
People were dressed in all sorts of get ups.  This guy was dressed like a princess. I was really nervous that his dress was going to catch on fire! We also learned that tutus do not hold up well in a mud pit.
 Watching for her BB
Then we saw him climbing down the cargo net!!
Claire was so excited she started waving as soon as she saw him!

Here he comes to jump over the fire!
 And he's over!

 Into the mud

The road to the finish line. It was pretty slippery

 And he finished!
Here he is asking Claire for a hug

 Way to go dad!
 Getting hosed off
 Back on the bus
Claire had to sit near her BB and wanted a window seat this time
 In dad's warrior hat!

Dad, we are so proud of you!!!  We can't wait to come watch you next year in your 2nd Warrior Dash!
